The long-awaited summer event of wine lovers is nearly here: Calici di Stelle 2015 in Veneto and across Italy from 4^th  to 10^th August to offer you a week full of wine events in Veneto, with tastings, music, entertainment, art and fun.

Among the most important wine events in 2015 in Italy, Calici di Stelle, organized by the associations Wine Tourism Movement and City of Wine, has a Calici di Stelle program full of surprises in store that will culminate on August 10^th. San Lorenzo nights events in Italy will boast an extraordinary collective toast that combines the magic of the shooting stars with the tasting of the finest wines made in Italy, creating a unique and incredibly romantic evening.

The theme of the many events for Calici di Stelle in Veneto is Italian music dedicated to wine, a theme for which the music designer & sound sommelier Paolo Scarpellini composed two soundtracks.

The first Calici di Stelle event will be held in Venice on Friday 31^st July in the beautiful garden of Ca' Vendramin Calergi, now the Casino. Directly overlooking the Grand Canal, the historic building will welcome its guests from 7pm to 9pm with tastings of wines from Veneto and tantalizing cuisine. In the evening you can watch the starry sky in the company of some experienced amateurs who will guide you to watch the stars with valuable tips and advice.

Do you love the mountains? On Saturday, 8^th  August 2015 from 11am to 7pm the third edition of Calici di Stelle in Cortina will take place at the Rifugio Faloria. In the splendid setting of the high peaks of the Dolomites you can enjoy a glass of wine, choosing from more than 100 labels, accompanied by delicious tastings of specialties from Ampezzo. The wine events in Italy in the summer of 2105 will conclude with the 'Star Dinner', filmed this year by the cameras of Cortina Channel TV.

The wine festival Calici di Stelleat high altitude is masterfully organized by the Wine Tourism Movement in Veneto, Veneziaeventi.com, AIS Veneto and Cortina Tourism. Calici di Stelle in Cortina is one of the most spectacular summer wine tasting events in Italy in Veneto!

If you are not passionate about the mountains or simply prefer to stay on the flat land then on Monday 10th August starting at 7pm, the beautiful Villa Widmann will host the first edition of Calici di Stelle wine events near Venice in Mira, offering its guests a delicious gastronomic journey of typical dishes and famous wines from Veneto, Tuscany, Friuli, Trentino and Lombardy. The splendid location will allow you to walk around while sipping fine wine and admire the villa in all its beauty, its large park, the 18^th century statues dedicated to nymphs and cupids, its barn and the charming church.

San Lorenzo night events in Italy offer you the opportunity to watch the shooting stars and admire the garden of the great Villa Widmann as the backdrop to this great event, a magical encounter of wine and art: in addition to wine tasting events in italy there are many initiatives that will make the atmosphere even more unique: while listening to relaxing jazz music, you will hear tales by the  culinary gourmet and TV host Fabrizio Nonis and, with the help of the Veento Amateur Astronomers, you can gaze at the stars, the planets and discover the secrets of the sky.

At the calici di stelle 2015 Venetian sculptor Max Solinas will exhibit his works of art, while the great chef Cristian Mometti will be the guest of the touring exhibition 'Chef&Books' with his new book 'Vasocottura'.

For the younger ones there will be fun workshops and entertainment shows.

Villa Widmann in Mira is offering a very special evening: enjoy the incredible spectacle of the calici di stelle of San Lorenzo sipping fine wine with a memorable toast!

As for calici di stelle in Veneto, the calendar for 2015 includes a number of interesting events located throughout the region: as well as learning about the stars, it is an opportunity to taste the best Italian wines, to taste typical Venetian cuisine and listen to good music.

The calici di stelle program in Veneto:

Annone Veneto (Venice): on Monday 10th August Piazza Vittorio Veneto awaits you for a fantastic evening of wine tasting accompanied by the sweet notes of the music of 'Silvia on the Waves', the tribute band of the well known songwriter Elisa.

Calici di stelle in Baone (Padova): on 7^th to 10^th  August at the top of Monte Gemola, the charming Villa Beatrice offers several evenings of tasting of typical products and wines from the Euganean Hills, made even more inviting by outdoor concerts and guided observations of stars. A unique atmosphere and a breathtaking panorama: a visit to this edition of Calici di stelle 2015 is highly recommended!

Calici di stelli in Barbarano Vicentino (Vicenza): the Pro Loco of Barbarano in collaboration with the farmhouses in the area, organizes an unmissable evening of live music and tasting of local products and the best wines produced in the Veneto region. On the magical San Lorenzo night events in Italy, please join us for a toast: Calici di stelli is waiting for you!

Calici di stelli in Colognola ai Colli (Verona): scheduled for 7th to 9th August, offering three evenings of fine wine and live music. The first evening on Friday 7^th August the Symphonic Band of San Bonifacio will perform, while the following evening calici di stelle will take place in a beautiful spot: the Zandomeneghi Staircase on Mount Colognola. On every large step you can taste a different kind of Venetian wine such as the Soave Doc, Soave Spumante and Valpolicella Superiore. The last step is dedicated to the wines of meditation such as Valpolicella Recioto or Soave Recioto. All tastings will be guided by the expert ONAV sommeliers, from the National Organization of Wine Tasters.

The event will end on the evening of 9^th August with the show ‘I Complessi – ovvero tradire aiuta un matrimonio by the Micromega Theatre Company.

Calici di Stelle in Farra di Soligo (Treviso) on Friday 31st July and Saturday 31st August at the Colle San Gallo hills 'From top to bottom' will take place: inserted within the calici di stelle program. The wine event in Italy is entirely dedicated the two different productions of wine in Veneto and will compare the ancient taste of the wine produced with the classic fermentation in the bottle with that of modern wine produced in autoclave.

Calici di Stelle a Gorgo al Monticano (TV): on Thursday 6th August from 7.30pm until midnight, the historic Villa Foscarini Cornaro, immersed in the countryside of the Treviso area, is home to one of the most respected wine festivals in Italy. The participating wineries offer tastings of their own wines accompanied by delicious local products.

Calici di Stelle in Lonigo (Vi):on Friday 31st July, the historic town near Vicenza is alive with many events: tasting of wines produced in the Berici area, and tasting of typical dishes and local products, live music and shows for children and adults are taking place from 9pm to midnight.

Calici di Stelle a Susegana (TV): on Thursday 30th July and Friday 31st, starting at 8pm until 1am at the Great Piazza Martiri della Libertà for the eighth edition of Calici di Stelle a Susegana, during which you can meet the producers of the most prestigious wineries and dishes of the area. The evening will also be accompanied by live music concerts.

Calici di Stelle in Tezze di Piave (TV): on Monday, 10th August the charming Malanotte village will host one of the most anticipated San Lorenzo night events in Italy: Calici di Stelle wine festival in Italy has become a fixture of the summer wine events near Venice. The best wineries will offer you a taste of their best wines and delight your palate with delicious local products. In the evening you can also watch the starry sky with the Amateur Astronomers of Vittorio Veneto.

Calici di Stelle a Valdobbiadene (TV): on Monday, 10^th August the splendid Villa of the Cedars will host the 11th edition of the San Lorenzo night events in Italy. Experienced sommelier will accompany guests in the tasting of Valdobbiadene DOCG wines produced by participating wineries. The event is characterized by its own format, a great picnic to enjoy the dishes prepared by restaurants in the area and to enjoy the fantastic show of shooting stars. For the little ones music and animation will be provided.

Calici di Stelle in Asolo (TV): in the historic centre between historic loggias, gates and gardens; on Monday 10^th August the new edition of Calici di Stelle 2015 in Asolo will take place, during which trained sommeliers will offer visitors a taste of the best Doc wines from the area along with  tantalizing tastes of typical products made by restaurateurs in Asolo.
